The vicar in his sermon this Sunday had been listening to Riaan Manser, the adventurer, who believes that the following three words are key for him in any of his endeavours and I think they may well be of use to you:
The courage to start, the strength to persevere and the attitude to find a way forward. We do not all have to cycle around the circumference of Africa or kayak around Madagascar to find these useful. Often it is the small things in our day that we can apply these three words building our confidence, our stamina and problem solving abilities so that when we do come across the bigger issues we are in a better place to deal with them. After all, it is these small things in life that build ‘good luck’.
