Who’s the oldest and youngest CEO in the S&P 500? A little trivia for a Tuesday morning. Well, here is the answer from an article in Here is the City News

Two oldest S&P 500 CEOs

84 Warren Buffett – Berkshire Hathaway (born 1930)
84 Rupert Murdoch – News Corporation (born 1931)
(no others above 80)

Three youngest S&P 500 CEOs

40 Jeremy Thigpen – Transocean (born 1975)
40 Marissa Mayer – Yahoo! (born 1975)
31 Mark Zuckerberg – Facebook (born 1984)

Warren became CEO in 1970, 45 years ago, and Rupert inherited from his father in 1952 (63 years!). I wonder if the young ones will still be there in another 40 years. Any thoughts?
